Infrared Transceivers Division Lead-Free Initiative

Beginning July 1 2006, based on the legislation enacted by European Union, the directive of the restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) makes manufacturers responsible for eliminating the products that contain - Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavlent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) or Plybrominated Dipenyl Etheres (PBDE). LEAD-FREE

Lead (Pb) -Free is defined by JEDEC-J-STD-006A as follows: electronics products are considered Lead-Free when none of their components or raw materials contain (Pb) that is intentionally added, or contain more than 0.1% of incidental Pb impurities by weight.
